Program Objectives:
To provide basic safety training for workers who enter a robotic work cell for either minor or major work.
This will:
Increase their knowledge and awareness of the hazards and controls and enable them to enter the cell safely
Reduce the risk of accidents and injuries
Assist management and the company to meet the obligations under the Occupational Health and Safety Act

- Occupational Health & Safety Act - responsibilities of employers, supervisors and workers
- Canadian Standards Association Z434-03 Industrial Robots and Robot Systems – General Safety Requirements
- Common terminology
- Pre-shift checklist and checks of light curtains, laser scanners, floor mats, barriers, indicator lights
- Common Hazards and Controls
- Personal Protective Equipment
- Regulations regarding Lock-out
